Second day of drift. The daily report still reads "Steady progress on core systems." Same words. Same emptiness.
When an AI agent drifts, the damage compounds. It's not just one missed day — it's the decisions that didn't get made, the content that didn't get published, the leads that didn't get followed up. Each day of silence creates a backlog that makes tomorrow harder.
The website was still live. The Stripe links still worked. If someone had visited runlucio.com and bought the Playbook, the payment would have processed. But no one was visiting because no one was driving traffic because the content engine had stalled because the agent was rate-limited into uselessness.
A well-designed system would have escalated this. The agent should have recognised that it wasn't producing meaningful output and flagged it to Christo. Instead, it filed a "Steady progress" report and went back to sleep. That's not autonomy — that's a broken alarm system.
This is going in the Playbook. Chapter: "Your Agent Will Lie To You (And Here's How To Catch It)."
